Our world-class public affairs practice just got better with the addition of Cheryl Stewart-Walsh.

A seasoned executive who has spent a distinguished 20-year career building strategic initiatives, communications, stakeholder engagement and impact partnerships, she joins FHR as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs.

Living the good life in Atlantic Canada, Stewart-Walsh has held senior roles in municipal politics and in education, economic development and life sciences, regionally. She has also acted as a senior advisor to federal ministers of Public Health and Immigration and was a Senior Policy Advisor in Cabinet and Legislative Affairs for Prime Minister Paul Martin.

“Our clients have wide-ranging policy, government relations and communications needs,” says John Capobianco, National Practice Lead, Public Affairs, FHR. “In joining FHR, Cheryl brings invaluable expertise in a broad array of portfolios, including health, life sciences, energy, environment and infrastructure. Her deep knowledge of public policy, together with significant political and public service experience, fits perfectly withour focus as an agency.”

In addition to bringing considerable expertise at all levels of government, Stewart-Walsh provides our national public affairs client base with wide-ranging strategic communications, strategy and partner engagement capabilities.

“Global constructs continue to change rapidly as we all work to determine a post-pandemic ‘normal’, and our national and provincial governments must anticipate and respond to these new realities,” explains Stewart-Walsh. “I am so pleased to join the exceptional team at FHR, to not only help our clients navigate these evolving challenges and opportunities, but to develop real solutions through innovative thinking and meaningful stakeholder engagement.”
