Strategic brand partnership reaches new audiences

With the launch of the new Philips One by Sonicare – an affordable, colourful, battery operated toothbrush – the brand needed a creative way to reach a younger “on-the-go” demographic and drive trial for its latest innovation. However, positioning the Philips One as the perfect travel companion was made trickier during the pandemic when travel restrictions were at an all-time high.

While Canadians were not taking big trips abroad, they were indulging in mini getaways close to home, creating a rise in the popularity of boutique hotels and motels. To capitalize on this trend, we partnered with The June, a hip boutique motel in Prince Edward County and Sauble Beach. With a fun and colourful atmosphere and a new Netflix show, it is a highly sought-after summer destination in Eastern Canada, making it the perfect place to reach our audience, while also being mindful of local travel restrictions.

With a combination of social content, curated blog posts for Prince Edward County and Sauble Beach, in-room product seeding and a contest with blogTO, the partnership allowed Philips to engage with their audience during an “on-the-go” moment in a meaningful way. This unique partnership generated over 3.5M impressions, successfully meeting the brands objectives of growing desire and education about the Philips One by Sonicare.
